The Splatter Effect
Kevin Slick
"Indus sets
those kinds of moody, Passionate vocals against a background
of a new-age folk, heavily influenced by Native American
chanting. The instrumentation is thick with acoustic
guitars and mandolins ringing away, and accented by
bells, shakers, rattles and such. Lyrically, the songs
come from the land of self-discovery/fulfillment, self-awareness
and potential – quite politically correct."
The Aquarian
Robert Makin
“Joy Gamache,
who is at the core of Indus with her 12 string strumming
husband Bob, also plays guitar, mandolin, flute, keys,
harp, accordion, tambourine, chimes, bell tree and Native
American Drum. A multi-talented musician and a deep
meaningful song writer ...” |

The Line
Lyrics by Joy Gamache
Music by Bob & Joy Gamache
The courage that it takes to believe in what
you made, to give it all you gave-only to start again. When do you
draw the line between giving up, and just one more try?
The direction you undertake; a personal crusade, a fulfillment
that you crave to be at one with God. When do you draw the line
between giving up, and just one more try?
The decisions that it takes into the void unafraid into creations
wave only to start again.
The patterns fall in the wake in your hand a healers blade in
your life there's time to save to renew and resonate. When do
you draw the line between giving up, and just one more try? Just
one more try, Just one more try, Just one more try.
Time
Lyrics by Joy Gamache
Music by Bob & Joy Gamache
Time, Time
Time is flying by. Like that black bird with yellow eyes sitting
on a branch outside, looking in my door.
Time, Time
Experience modifies my moods. I still feel the same,
it’s just not new. Ritualistic and in the groove.
Suspended in truth.
Time, Time
Thoughts became patterns. The decision was made.
I gave my life to it. Now, it’s time to change.
Time, Time
There’s innocence in your eyes. Sing to the light.
This ends a phase of my life, and there’s a beginning in sight.
Time, Time Time, Time Time is flying by. Time, Time
These Wings
By Joy Gamache
I’ve been changing so fast it’s hard to see where
I am and what you think of me. I don’t understand. I don’t understand.
These wings will break free, ’cause no one is keeping me here but
me. To an altitude where I can see, the whole truth surrounding
me. The whole truth surrounding me.
Every experience is labeled and stored. Every moment
I bring it forth. I'm just starting to see. I’m just starting to
see. These wings will break free, ’cause no one is keeping me here
but me. To an altitude where I can see, all the love surrounding
me. All the love surrounding me.
Never before could I let it go. Clinging to control.
Putting barriers between our souls. Forbidding love to flow. Now
these wings are ripping apart these images I placed upon my heart.
And these wings are cutting through, the part of me that's been
blocking you.
In the moment we are free, ’cause we create our
reality. In a space where we could just be. I could stay here forever
and leave, what isn't that I thought was me. And these wings are
ripping apart, these images that keep me in the dark. And these
wings are cutting through. I can't tell which is me or you. I can't
tell which is me or you.
To The Sky
By Joy Gamache
I look up to the sky and tomorrow the sun will rise,
and I’ll learn to see by the light that I allow in my life. And
it don’t matter if you catch a branch and fly out of here. I can’t
look behind. For what we shared was nourishing for a time. I don’t
know what happened or why. I look to the sky.
And I sit in the world I created for myself. And
that fence ain’t that strong anymore, and there’s nowhere to fall.
And it don’t matter if I catch a branch or fly out of here. What’s
past is behind. It don’t matter why, it's all behind. I look to
the sky. To the sky.
All those reasons turned into empty spaces. Can’t
figure out why, but I miss you and I can’t pick up that phone and
call you ’cause of my pride.
But tomorrow the sun will rise and I'll learn to
see by the light in my eyes. There's nowhere to fall anymore. I
look to the sky and watch you fly out of my life. It’s all behind.
I look to the sky. To the sky.
What Goes Around
Lyrics by Joy Gamache
Music by Bob & Joy Gamache
A flower opens slowly. Enjoy each and every step.
Sometimes it takes longer to appreciate what you have. What goes
around, comes around. What comes around comes back again.
Have you decided to eliminate what’s been said?
Use your discretion before you understand. What goes around, comes
around. What comes around comes back again.
It could be easy. Just look what you're doing before
you jump in with bath hands. What goes around, comes around. What
comes around comes back again.
We gotta live with each other. Hold each other's
hand. Remember, what goes around, comes back again. What goes around,
comes around. What comes around comes back again.
Dreams Come True
By Joy Gamache
I believe in you and everything you choose and those
changes too that bring your dreams to you. And I’ll be there, if
you need, you need me too.
’Cause I believe in you. What you start you’ll see
through. And it’ll bring us closer, too, if we’re loving what we
do. And I believe in your smile, as we share our life.
I believe in you. Excel in what you do. Live the
way you want to, expressing who you are. With your eyes on the goal,
plant the seeds and watch them grow. And the outcome is assured
for those whose season is long.
I believe in you. Whatever you decide to do, I'll
be right beside you watching your dreams come true. It’s just a
song, what can go wrong?
Smile For Me
By Joy Gamache
After all we’ve been through. You're lookin' at
me and I'm looking at you. Do you need a reason to smile? Smile
for me, smile for me. Smile for me. It’ll be all right now. Smile
for me, smile for me. Smile for me, it'll be all right. So Smile.
Smile.
And the sun comes up and the sun goes down. You
look at me then you look at the ground. It cant be that bad. Come
on, Walk with me, walk with me. Walk with me. It’ll be all right
now. Walk with me, walk with me. Walk with me. It'll be all right
now. Walk with me, a while.
I don’t care how many bills we have to pay. Can’t
do nothin’ right now anyway. It'll turn around, somehow. So hold
me, hold me. Hold me. Hold me. It’ll be ail right now. Hold me,
hold me. Hold me. Hold me. It'll be all right now. Just hold me
a while.
We’ll watch the tide come in and the tide go out.
We don’t need no reason to be happy about. It’s time to know. Know
that the sun comes up and the sun goes down. The tide comes in the
and the tide goes out. What more of a reason do you need to smile
about? So smile. Smile. Smile for me, smile for me. Smile for me.
It’ll be all right now. Smile for me, smile for me. Smile for me,
it’ll be all right. So smile. Smile.
Next Time The Leaves Change
By Joy Gamache
Next time the leaves change I'll be taking your
name. People tell me, ‘It won't be the same”, but if there's no
change there will be no growing. A million things have been said
in a million different ways but they amount to the same feelings.
I’m on location counting the shots but tell me,
who’s calling them? And I feel like I’ve been married to you for
a while, with you for a while.
Next time the leaves change.
Next time the leaves change.
A million things have been said in a million different
ways but they amount to the same feelings.
And it's hard to know what's happening when it’s
happening to you. Mmmmm Mmmmm through you. And why does everything
always have to be so complicated?
Next time the leaves change.
Next time the leaves change.
Next time the leaves change.
A Dream of Freedom
By Joy Gamache
And how it is, and how you'd like it to be. And
how it is, and what you see. And what would you find if you were
looking for a reason why? Some kind of score. And what would make
you wanna sing along? An inspiration, within a song.
A misunderstanding between you and me. A dream of
freedom. What does it mean? After all this time, what do I see?
Another person when you turn to me. And what would make you wanna
sing along? A perfect feeling, a perfect song.
It'll keep things interesting. It'll keep things
alive. And what will I see if I dare to find, another reason for
stacking up the sides? But I'm still here, giving it another try.
A Dream of freedom. A gift of life. Another reason to try to get
it right.
And how it is. And how I’d like it to be. If things
could open up between you and me. What could I give you? What do
you need that’s not within you? You hold the seed. I stand before
you, living a dream. If I could spark something within you, what
would it be? A dream of freedom. A gift to life. Another reason
to try to get it right.
A dream of freedom.
